Advocating, Educating, Restoring and Conserving.
Covert Conservation leans hard into the environmental sciences. We do our best to stay on the cutting edge of ecological research and scientific understanding. Championing native plant use in landscapes and the latest habitat management techniques. To better help educate people in what our land use to be and how to properly care for it. We believe that EVERY LITTLE THING matters. Every plant, insect, mammal, fish and bird. Eco-Centric, Inclusive, and staunch advocates for Diversity. We are all essential moving parts in the organic machine that is our world.
Modern Society is an Ecological Wasteland
Around every corner there is nothing but boring, sterile, monoculture wastelands of invasive turf grass coupled with sparsely planted, ecologically useless, non-native plants in uniform rows and militant arrangements. Any bare ground is covered with cement designated for “vehicle” use. Spaces that are left “wild” are nearly completely unmanaged and left to be overrun with invasive species.
Rewriting Archaic Landscaping Practices
The traditional “Turf Lawns” and “Formal Gardens” you see around every single house/business have turned out to be one of the most ecologically destructive and resource intensive trends of the 21’st century. We devote way too much brain power to addressing the issue of how to de-popularize these old European trends of wasting land in a peacock’sh show of wealth and disregard for the living world.
