Joey Santore is a huge inspiration, and one of the main reason I am the mediocre ecologist I am today. His passion for plants, disdain for development and penchant for semi-correct political rants truly endeared me to this scruffily handsome botanist/ecologist/podcaster/comedian/etc etc etc.
I feel like Matt Candelas could be friends with anyone. Though I’ve never had the pleasure to speak with him directly he seems not only incredibly knowledgable, but also passionate, flexible, humorous and genuinely pleasant!
